16. What about the quality and safety of the medications?
All the drugs are from USFDA approved pharmacies. Generic medications are just as safe and effective as their brand-name equivalents. Due to USFDA regulations, generic medications are the same Ingredient as the original brand name drug, simply made by another company.
17. What payment options are available?
You have options of: Bank Draft to Checking or Savings Accounts; Credit Cards - VISA, MasterCard, Discover and American Express, you may use debit cards with a VISA or MASTERCARD logo.
18. How does this work with my current insurance or co-pay?
Always present your Liberty Rx Card with the insurance card and ask the pharmacist to show you the drug cost for each card. If your prescribed drug is not on the insurance company’s formulary, your co-pay goes away and Liberty saves the day. If you have co-pays, sometimes the co-pay is more than Liberty’s price. If you can buy your prescriptions for 90 days rather than 30, check your co-pays (90-day supply) against the home delivery pricing online. Some insurance plans won’t cover 90-day prescriptions, but Liberty saves you significant money on 90-day prescriptions.
19. Tell me more about India's Pharmaceutical Industry?
India is the largest producer of generic medications in the world. India's Pharmaceutical Industry is the 4th largest in the world. Many of the generic drugs on the shelves at your local US pharmacy come from drug companies in India - the same drug companies Liberty RX buys from. Every year, thousands of American citizens travel to India to receive world-class medical care. Plus, many of the brand-name drugs in the United States are manufactured with base ingredients supplied by India. India sells the exact same brand name drugs; they just have a different economy of scale so everything is far less expensive.
20. Why is Generic Medication from around the world cheaper?
We all know that generic medications offer safe, high-quality medicine at a, "fraction of the cost of a brand-name drug. In fact, once a generic medication hits the market, prices tend to fall by 60-80%. The problem is that many other drugs we rely on today are not yet available generically in the U.S. The good news is that this is not the case in India! The law in India allowed medications to enter the market nearly 20 years sooner than in the U.S. As a result, generic medications are available for virtually every brand-name drug.
21. What about the Medicare Prescription Drug Benefit?
We do not participate in any Medicare-sponsored insurance plans. However, since our drug prices are on average 60-80% less expensive than they are in the US, most people do save a lot of money by opting-out of the Medicare Prescription Drug Benefit and buying their medications through us. If you currently participate in a Medicare Part D (prescription drug) insurance plan, consider buying your expensive brand name medications from us to avoid hitting the infamous "doughnut hole" altogether. If you are already in the "doughnut hole", buy from us to save yourself up to 70% or more on the cost of your prescription medications.
